Pricing
Three plans. The converter is in all of them.
Free is a plan, not a countdown. It detects your mode and, in Mode B, converts displayed prices with rounding and a storefront picker at $0 with no expiry and up to 5 currencies. Paid plans raise the currency limit and add Mode B conversion rules, scheduling, crypto and metals. In Mode A, use your theme's native country selector; CurrencyCraft leaves Shopify Markets pricing and checkout unchanged.
30-day trial on a new Growth or Pro subscription. Billing runs through Shopify after you approve the subscription and appears on your Shopify invoice. Paid upgrades are available only when billing is enabled and verified for your store.
Questions people ask before installing
What happens when I hit the 5-currency limit on Free?
Adding a sixth currency is refused, with a message saying so. Nothing is removed and nothing stops working: the five currencies you already have keep converting. You either remove one or move to a paid plan.
What happens if I downgrade later?
Nothing is deleted for you, and you are never locked out of clearing your own configuration: rules you can no longer create can still be deleted, and a crypto or metal currency you can no longer add can still be turned off. Saved paid rules stop running below Pro while their configuration is preserved. Also: crypto and precious metal rates are only served to plans that include them, so if you drop below Pro those currencies stop converting on the storefront until you upgrade again.
How does the trial work?
A new paid subscription starts with a 30-day trial after approval in Shopify. Changing an active paid plan does not start another trial. Free is a real plan, not a trial, so you can stay on it indefinitely.
Who charges me?
Shopify does. The subscription is a Shopify app charge, so it appears on your Shopify bill. You switch or cancel a plan from Settings inside the app, and uninstalling the app ends the charge.
Is there anything I have to do by hand?
Yes, two things, on every plan. You have to wrap your price output in a cc-money span under Settings, General, Currency formatting (both HTML fields), and you have to enable the app embed in the theme editor. Shopify does not let an app do either for you. Both are covered in the setup guide.
Does the plan change how checkout behaves?
No. Which mode you are in is decided by your Shopify setup, not your plan. With Shopify Payments and a market with local currencies, Shopify handles pricing and checkout and CurrencyCraft does not convert. Without Shopify Payments, CurrencyCraft converts displayed prices only and checkout stays in your store currency, with the notice shown to the shopper. That is true on Free and on Pro alike.
